How is this Product Used?

  • Reconstitution of Medications and Peptides: Bacteriostatic water is primarily used to dissolve and dilute medications and peptides that are in a powder form. This includes peptides such as growth hormone peptides (e.g., HGH, BPC-157, TB-500) and other injectable medications that require reconstitution before use.
  • Preservation: The benzyl alcohol in bacteriostatic water helps to inhibit the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms within the solution for up to 28 days after initial use. This allows for multiple uses of the reconstituted medication or peptide without the risk of contamination. Once reconstituted medication or peptide should be refrigerated.
  • Administration: Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, medications and peptides can be administered via subcutaneous (under the skin), intramuscular (into the muscle), or intravenous (into the vein) injection routes, depending on the specific drug and intended use.
  • Common Mistake: Don’t confuse bacterio-static water (BAC water) for bacterio-sterile water for injection (BWFI), as they serve different purposes. BAC water contains benzyl alcohol, which acts as a bacteriostatic agent to inhibit bacterial growth for up to 28 days after reconstitution. In contrast, bacteriosterile water for injection lacks benzyl alcohol and is intended for single-use scenarios where immediate injection is necessary, typically within 24 hours of reconstitution.
